Positions are available for the summer season, June - September. These positions may provide flexible hours, ranging from part time to full time. Compensation will be based on prior experience and all positions include daily tips.

Beach Staff for Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboard Rentals (Full-time & Part-time)
Work with a team to provide customers with rental and safety information. Help load and unload boats to and from the beach. Constantly maintain clean and professional environment. Monitoring rentals out on the water and rescuing if necessary.
Sea Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboard Guides (Full-time & Part-time)
Lead tours with clients of all types and skill levels. Educate clients on the Puget Sound environment, history, wildlife and ecology. Ensure client safety and satisfication while keeping them entertained and happy. Cleaning and maintaining equipment and gear. Previous sea kayaking and/or paddleboarding experience, First Aid and CPR certification required (ACA certificate preferred).
Rental Operations Manager (Full-time)
Manage rental staff effectively and efficiently. Answer Ballard Kayak rentals phone line and provide great customer service. Communicate with management regularly regarding customer experience, equipment issues, scheduling and other related info. Be responsible for safety and risk management: stay alert and be prepared to cancel or truncate rentals based on weather, conditions, customer behavior, etc. Safely maneuver the truck with kayak trailer in tow. Previous managerial experience, First Aid and CPR certification required.
Promptly answer Ballard Kayak calls and emails. Schedule private events and proposal management. Post on social media sites creatively and consistently. Book customers and collect payment in online reservation system. Regular communication with management regarding workload, questions, upcoming events, customer complaints, etc.
